EARLIER WORK

I think it's about time I updated my blog, so here's something I did for a kids' magazine here in Syria some time ago:
This boy appeared in the 'Fun and Games' corner in the magazine; the drawing was no more than an inch in height when it was published in the magazine, but still, I put considerable effort into it and I like it!

THE SHOW THAT TRIGGERED IT!

This is a drawing of Daisuke (center), Hikaro (right), and Koji (left) from the old show that used to be aired in the early eighties. Grendizer was the first show I ever watched on TV and -without a doubt- the best show ever. Some of you may know it as 'Grandizer' or 'Goldorak' or 'Goldrake', but whatever the name is, it's the same immortal show that captured the hearts of millions of kids when it was aired for the first time. I drew the characters and colored them in the same old Anime style that the series was done in; I did not like to ruin the spirit of the series by drawing the characters in modern Anime style -like some artists prefer to do- so you may notice that the shading is quite simple with focus only on face shades, less focus on clothing shading, and no hair shading at all.
I did this one just for fun and posted it on a fan-art site.

This is a place where you can find some of my work, whether from my portfolio that got me into Capilano College or otherwise.
Some of those pictures were done as work for some children magazines where I come from, others were done for mere fun, and, of course, others were created for my portfolio.
